Fallback method
Try the page with the feature off
Turn one new browser feature off and write what the page still lets a person finish.

A new browser feature is an extra path, not the only path, until you have watched the page without it. This guide records that check.
Pick one task and one feature
Write the task in one line, such as open the note and save it. Then name the single feature the new interface uses.
Turn that feature off, or open a browser that does not have it. Do not turn off the whole browser and call that the same test.

Write what still works
Record whether the person can still finish the task. A different control is a pass for the task if the outcome is the same.
Record a hard stop separately. If the page shows a blank region and no other control, the fallback is missing. Say that. Do not write it is fine on modern browsers and skip the note.

Keep the off-state in the handoff
The handoff names the feature, the browser used for the off-state, and the task result. A screenshot of the enhanced state alone does not document the fallback.
If you have not run the off-state, mark it not checked. An absent check is not evidence that the old path works.
